"It always seems impossible until it’s done." — Nelson Mandela

Justine Esquivel is an Education Specialist at Blue Oak Academy who is passionate about equity, inclusion, and helping students discover their passions—both academically and through service to their school and community. She works closely with students to support their academic and social-emotional growth, drawing on her expertise in IEP development and early intervention.

Justine values being part of the BOA community, where supportive colleagues and a strong sense of connection create meaningful opportunities to make a lasting impact on students’ lives.

A graduate of Porterville High School and Fresno Pacific University, Justine grew up in Porterville and the Fresno/Clovis area as the oldest of seven siblings. She enjoys traveling, attending concerts, painting, reading, cooking, and supporting the arts as a way to strengthen the community. She also loves coffee, trying new foods, and learning about different cultures.

Outside of school, Justine spends time with her husband, who teaches music and math at SVA, and their five beloved dogs. A fun fact: she’s a devoted fan of Friends and the band Jimmy Eat World—whom she once met!
